PROUDLY SUPPORTED BY
In 2020 The Wearing Fiji Project hosted it's inaugural show in the iconic foyer of the Grand Pacific Hotel, the first fashion show to be held in the original building since it's re-opening in 2014.
We are proud to be back at the GPH for our 2021 show. Fiji is currently under lockdown due to COVID but we thank everyone for purchasing tickets and we will go ahead with the show once restrictions have lifted.
Each year the project encourages its designers to draw inspiration from a particular theme paying tribute to the uniqueness of Fiji. Last year was a tribute to the Kadavu parrot the 'Kakula'.
As Pacific Islanders we are at the frontline of climate change. These very ecosystems are under threat due to climate change. Traditional Vanua owners have relied on the land to survive and thrive.
This year we look to the ‘vanua’ our environment from our flora, fauna and sea for inspiration for our collections.
Join us for a night of high fashion celebrating the uniqueness of Fiji. Come dressed in black to celebrate the brilliance and resilience of Fiji.
