Robert Verebasaga’s second Kakali collection saw him show a new fabric print - jigsaw puzzle pieces with different Fijian traditional motifs for example, “nai wau” (a warrior club) were woven into most of his collection.
Robert has matured in his technical skills as a fashion designer. This was evident in his structural pieces such as the women’s sleeveless blazer and the black evening wear dress as well as the men’s wear outfits like the Royal Blue men’s casual suit.
His use of traditional fabrics such as linen, satin and cotton combined with his fused take on the colour palette of the Kakula bird bought a freshness, fun and confidence that will resonate for anyone.
